Day 8 Davenport to Deer Park

Started early once again. Rolling at 6:20am. These cool mornings are the way to go!

We cleared 340 miles mid-morning so we’re now 10% of the way there.

Things got ugly about noon ascending out of Spokane on a busy highway. Blew the front tube. Totally shredded! I’ve never experienced this and I’m still not sure of the cause. Fortunately we were going slow but this was a scary event. Some nice people stopped to help. Got a true test of my tools and extra parts but got moving again after an eternity in the hot sun.

Tomorrow is another day. One day at a time.
